Blandford Flooding a short photo-essay by a portrait photographer

Blandford Flooding a short photo-essay by a portrait photographer

This last week has been very odd, lots and lots of rain interspersed with some very hot and sunny weather. I managed to get out of the studio and away from some portrait photography to capture some of the scenes locally.

We start off with the flood barrier from the morrisons car park, there is actually a car park, then some fields here (I often take my wedding clients around here for their engagement shoots or if they are the Crown Hotel then I’ll bring them here for some portrait photos during their wedding. You can see how much the water has come up.

You can also see crown meadows where there are proposed building plans, it’s a little bit underwater, I for one wouldn’t want to live there!

Feel free to leave a comment on the photographs and let me know your thoughts on the flood and how it effected you!
