Portland Bill Lighthouse Dorset Landscape Photographer
Portland Bill Lighthouse Dorset has a attraction for a Landscape photographer who’s been photographing a lot of star-scapes recently I thought this might make a great subject for some night time Photography. So I headed up to Portland Bill and took some test shots of the lighthouse and checked that it was a relatively clear night so you could see the stars. Some cloud isn’t always a bad thing as it can add some drama and depth to the photography and make it a unique and different. I’ve been really getting into my night time imagery. There is such beauty in the night sky and it really helps put things in perspective too. I’ve loved taking photographs of the moon. I’ve also loved taking Photographs of the starts near my photographic portrait studio in Blandford Forum. So I thought I should start adding in local landmarks to help enhance the mood.
Any of the images of Portland bill are available for sale should you wish to purchase them directly. If you want to purchase any of the Dorset Landscape Photography then please contact me.
If you have any suggestions to landmarks in and around Dorset that you think would look good them let me know. Next up is Durdle door I think. This could look truly awesome on the right night! If you want to come along on one of my nighttime workshops then also please to get in touch. I love how the light from the Lighthouse creates a circle around the lighthouse itself. In reality there are 4 beams that go around pretty quickly. Apparently the beams can go out to 25 miles into the deep blue sea!
Anyway enough rambling and introduction lets take a look at the fruits of my night up on Portland. Feel free to share these images via social media using the buttons or leave comments on the blog. Thanks for reading this far now on with the Landscape images.
Or you can view it as a slideshow too.
