Photographers: Low light test Nikon DSLRs: D3S, D600, D800, D5100
As a Portrait Photographer and a Wedding Photographer based in Dorset I have to be able to get images in a wide range of lighting. It’s for these reasons its important to know what your equipment can and can’t do.
After the last test in relatively good lighting I thought I’d test in lower lighting. We’re talking 1/30s exposures at ISO3200 and f/2.8 – typically exposures that would be unheard of before the latest generation of dSLRS.
This is much more akin to what it would be like at many dorset portrait and wedding venues I photograph at so it’s a great test of what these cameras can do in the hands of a dorset portrait photographer.
So without further ado here we are.
All lit with a single modelling bulb at half power and with a 50mm lens @ f/2.8
Let me know what you think.
It’s almost emotional to see my beloved D3s perform so well. So proud of him…
Great camera and lots of reasons it’s so good
