Lens Bokeh and Starburst Testing with Off Camera Flash

Lens Bokeh and Starburst Testing with Off Camera Flash

Have you ever wondered how to get a wonderful star shaped flash in the background when you’re taking your pictures? Well wonder no more – you can take a look at the tests I did here with lenses stopped down and 2 flashes fired at different powers to see how they are rendered.

I used a Nikon D600 and SB800 first at 1/2 power together with a Yongnuo flash (yn-560-iii) fired at 1/32nd power all is ISO50 and triggered via a Yongnuo 603-mark ii (mark 2) trigger.

Let me know if you find this sort of test useful and if there are any other that would be of use.
